E-Mail Forwarding:
You can now set your own e-mail forwarding addresses using the
WittLink Portal.
Just logon to this service and select the Mail Routing option.
Use Eudora, Outlook, or another third party program to access e-mail
This does not apply when using an "on campus" connection such as dialing Wittenberg's modem pool or using Virtual Private Networking.
Incoming Server name: imap.wittenberg.edu
Log in name: your username
Outgoing mail server name: insert your Internet Service provider's outgoing mail server name here
From address (if is a separate option): your e-mail address with your ISP (NOT your Wittenberg address)
Return address: your Wittenberg e-mail address (wwitt@wittenberg.edu)
Please Note: To send mail to restricted mailing lists such as students, faculty, staff, departments or course mailing lists you will need to use an "on campus" method such as Wittmail, WebMail, dialup, or VPN. If you attempt to send to a campus e-mail address using your ISP's outgoing mail server, your message will not go through the system. To use Eudora, Outlook, etc. to *send* e-mail to a Wittenberg e-mail address through another service provider, you will need to use the Virtual Private Networking software to create a connection to campus first.
