Connecting to the Secure Network on Mac OS X

Information Technology Services

To connect a Mac OS X computer to the campus wireless network:

Step 1: Click on the Wi-Fi icon near the right corner of the menu bar and select "Turn Wi-Fi On" (if you do not see this, go to Alternate Instructions below).

Step 2: From the list of available networks, select "Witt-Student" if you are a student or "Witt-FacNStaff" if you are a faculty or staff member.

Step 3: In the resulting window, type in your Wittenberg username and password. Leave the other options at their defaults.

You will now be connected to the network you chose. Your Mac will remember your password so you will not have to type it in again.

Alternate Instructions:If you do not see the Wi-Fi icon near the top of the screen, click on the Apple menu in the top left of the screen and select "System Preferences." Choose the "Network Pane." Click on the drop down menu for "Network Name" and select either "Witt-Student" or "Witt-FacNStaff." Continue on with Step 3.
