- Place a work order with the Solution Center for campus computers.
- Click Start, Settings, Printers
- Right click the printer you'd like to serve as the default printer
- Select "Set as default printer"
- Note: In Windows, the printer that is last alphabetically will automatically become the default printer. You may wish to rename the printer in this case.
- Check seating of the paper tray - if loose or off center the printer will not pick up the paper
- Ruffle the paper - the rollers will have a tough time picking up paper sticky from moisture, so separate the pages.
- Turn off the printer. Slowly pull the paper back out of the printer.
- Laserjet Printers
- Turn off the printer and try another toner cartridge. Replacements may be obtained from the warehouse; have the stock number available when you call or e-mail.
- Deskjet Printers
- Remove the cartridges from the printer. If the cartridges aren't empty, wipe the bottoms of the cartridges with a cloth and place them back in the printer. If they're empty, replace them. Replacements may be obtained from the warehouse; have the stock number available when you call or e-mail.
