Meeting Minutes

Attendance: Joe Deck, Karen Hupp, Pam Burton, Dan Nelson, Angie Fairbanks, Jenny Capper, Danita Hatfield, Rick Sparks, Teresa Cantrell, Cindy Larson, Debbie Dewitt, Doug Schantz, Rita Whip, Susan Swank, and Kathy Dennis.
Agenda:
I. CIO Search Committee Update - Debbie Dewitt
The search committee received 150 applications. Gene Spencer, consultant, categorized and narrowed the candidates to 10 or 12 who then were interviewed by telephone. President Erickson interviewed 7 candidates on the telephone and narrowed the candidates down to the top 3 who will be invited to campus. On campus interviews will begin next week. Each candidate will be interviewed by different campus groups over a day and a half. Maureen Massaro, HR Director, will send a schedule to the campus by the end of this week. The WACKO members will be scheduled to attend a session with each candidate.
II. Demo of UI 4.0 - Karen Hupp
The group watched a 19 minute on-line Datatel demo. FAQ are available on the Dattel site. Client trials started in Mar 2009. We are looking at Feb/Mar 2010 timeframe for installation on campus.
III. Plug for DUG 2010 - Karen Hupp
The DUG Conference will be held in Washington, DC, Mar 28-31, at the New Gaylord Conference Center. The cost of the conference is $650-$750. The cost of the hotel is approximately $214.
