To use Remote Desktop from a Windows XP system:

  1. If you are at home start a VPN Connection
  2. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, Remote Desktop Client.
  3. Click the options button to expand the options available
  4. For the Computer, type Bengal60.wittenberg.edu
  5. You can fill out username and password now if you wish as well If you do not, the log on prompt will appear in the Remote Desktop Connection and request the information.
  6. Click Connect.
You should now be logged on to the Remote Desktop Server.

To use Remote Desktop from a Mac:

  1. Download the Macintosh client from the following web-site: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6573F9F1-8AE1-4DA9-AB5C-F8457ECDAF2D&displaylang=en
  2. Connect to campus via VPN if you are off campus
  3. Follow steps 3 through 8 for the Windows instructions above
