IF YOU HAVE ANY VIRUS SCAN PROGRAM THAT IS *NOT* McAfee Enterprise 8 by Network Associates:

You will need to remove the virus scan program from your computer before using the WittConnect Prep Tool CD. McAfee (Network Associates) version 8.0i Enterprise is required for network access at Wittenberg, and attempting to use two different virus scan programs can cause your computer to become unstable or crash.

  1. To remove most virus scan programs, click Start, Settings, Control Panel or click Start, Control Panel.
  2. Open the Add/Remove Programs option.
  3. Locate and remove any programs associated with your virus scan program. Example: To remove Norton Antivirus and associated programs, remove any items referring to "Symantec" and/or "Norton."
  4. Restart your computer. *If you need additional information, consult your software documentation for removal steps.
