Does your guest need wireless network access?

Steps the faculty or staff sponsor should take before the guest(s) arrival:
- Request a wireless guest account from the Solution Center via e-mail or work order.
- Please include the number of accounts necessary (1 per guest)
- When the guest(s) will be on campus and using Wittenberg wireless
- This account is *only* for wireless access on campus. This account will not grant Windows access for use on campus computers. If necessary, please request a Windows guest account separately.
- The Solution Center will provide you with a username and password for each of your guest(s) to use while they are on campus. We will also provide you with a spreadsheet of the usernames and passwords for you to record the users to whom the accounts are assigned.
How your guest will connect to Wittenberg's wireless network:
- Turn on the notebook’s wireless radio.
- Click the wireless icon to view available wireless networks.
- Select wittguest and click Connect. *Note—this is an unsecured network connection. Your access includes Wittenberg’s main web servers and the Internet.
- Launch a web browser. The web browser may present you with a certificate question—choose continue on to the website.
- Enter the case-sensitive username and password provided through the sponsoring faculty or staff member.
Laptop Requirements:
- Laptop with WLAN (802.11b) capability
- The laptop’s network settings must be configured to automatically obtain an IP address via DHCP
