Browser Settings for Witt Resources

To use Moodle and myWitt Portal, enable cookies and popups in your web browser. If you have additional toolbars in your web browser, you may need to remove the toolbar or turn off the toolbar pop-up blocker to gain access.

Choose your Browser:

Internet Explorer 8
Internet Explorer 9
Mozilla Firefox 17
Safari

Internet Explorer 8 or 9:

    To accept cookies:
  1.  Click Tools, Internet Options.
  2.  Click the Privacy tab.
  3.  Change the slide bar under Settings to "Medium." This allows first-party cookies but still blocks any unwanted third-party cookies.
  4.  Click Apply, then click OK.
    To enable popups:
  1.  Click Tools, Internet Options.
  2.  Click the Privacy tab.
  3.  Remove the check from the box "Block pop-ups."
  4.  Click Apply, then click OK.
Firefox 17
    To accept cookies
  1. Click the Firefox drop-down box, Options.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. In the section marked Cookies, make sure both 'Accept cookies from sites' and 'Accept 3rd party Cookies' are checked
  4. Click OK.
    To enable popups
  1. Click Tools, Options.
  2. Click the Content tab.
  3. Remove the check from the "Block Popup Windows" box.
  4. Click OK.
Safari
    To accept cookies
  1.  Choose Preferences from the Safari menu and click Security.
  2.  Click "Only from sites you navigate to" to prevent storing cookies that come from websites other than those you open. Select this option to prevent advertisers on websites you visit from storing cookies on your computer.
  3.  To see the cookies you have accepted, click Show Cookies. You can then remove cookies.
    Turn off the popup blocker
  1.  Choose Preferences from the Safari menu and click Security.
  2.  Choose Security Settings and remove the check from the Block Popup Window option.
