Using Datatel UI off campus

Datatel is a specialized program used by some staff and faculty to access the administrative database for campus. This is NOT general use software, and if you do not have a specially built account through our MIS area, this software will not work for you.

Get everything ready:

  1. Check your Internet connection. To access Hal through the Datatel software from home or any other off campus location, you must have Internet access.
  2. If you haven't already, download and install the Cisco VPN software. This software is required to use Datatel UI from off campus.
  3. Not sure what this is? Need directions or a copy of the software? Click here.
  4. Download and SAVE a copy of the wittdrivesandprinters.exe program.
  5. Not sure what this is? Need directions or a copy of the software? Click here.
  6. Download and install the current copy of Datatel's UI program. Click here to download a copy.
Connect to Hal:
  1. Open and connect to Wittenberg's network using the Cisco VPN client.
