Most types of financial aid are based on one of two factors; your academic ability or your family's finances.
Financial aid offices at schools all over the country weigh these two factors when they put together a financial aid package. And, while you know your academic scores (your GPA, SAT, or ACT), you might not be aware of your financial aid "score" - your EFC. Your EFC is the number you receive when you enter your information into the federal government's need-analysis formula. Your EFC will directly impact the amount of federal Pell Grant you are eligible to receive and it will influence many other programs, including the grants offered by the colleges you want to attend.
Wittenberg University's EFC Estimator collects the same basic information the federal aid application collects and performs the same calculations on that information that the federal processor will perform. If the information you enter is accurate, the EFC estimate you receive will be accurate.
The EFC is calculated using the equations for the 2003-2004 school year.
There is no charge for this service. We hope having this information helps you in your college search.
