Awards and Honorable Mentions
Outstanding Advisor Award: Given to the advisor who provdes outstanding dedication, service, guidance, and fraternal commitment to thier chapters. The awards committee selects the recipients based upon nominations made by the chapters.
Awarded to: Diane Leach- Alpha Delta Pi
"Diane Leach dedicates her heart and soul to our chapter. Despite undergoing cancer treatment this year and working two jobs, she attended all chapter meetings and events. While advising and mentoring executive officers Diane is always available to all chapter members. She knows chapter members by name and constantly offers advice, encouragement, or a listening ear. Diane never fails to set a good example for the members of Alpha Delta Pi."
Other Nominees: Hank Sturges- Beta Theta Pi. Hank is the Alumni treasurer for the fraternity and teaches in the management department at Wittenberg. Hank tries to attend every preference dinner and shares stories from when he was an active member. Hank is always there to lend a helping hand whether with helping his students balance the budget or insuring the chapters financial security. Jane Blustone- Kappa Delta. Jane is a recruitment advisor willing to share new ideas in order to improve recruitment and motivate members. She is a constant help to the chapter and always has good advice to offer. Karen Strelou- Sigma Kappa. Karen has a gift for guidance and has worked with the chapter for more than 15 years. It is common to see Karen hanging out, talking, and laughing with chapter members. "We would be lost without her expertise." Kelli Wooten- Chi Omega. Kelli is the chapters primary advisor regularly traveling from Cinncinati to attend chapter meetings and events. She always arrives with a smile and a positive attitude and is our number one advocate. She is a constant resource for sisterhood event activities and has assisted us in making our house and members feel more secure. Allison Paugh- Delta Gamma. Allison strives to make our chapter stronger and even more unified through her dedication, support and guidance. Even in times of personal crisis she works side by side with the officers to accomplish their tasks and encourages them to learn and grow. Steve Prevost- Delta Tau Delta. Steve is an intregal part of the chapter. He regularly attends weekly meetings, preference dinners, and he finids time for one on one talks with members. He trancends the passive role of advisor so that the men in the chapter see him as an example of how to give back to the fraternity.
