• CEDAR BOG nature preserve opens for the season from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, April 2-3. To visit the fen, drive north on route 68 to Cedar Bog Road, or ride the Simon Kenton Bike Trail north to the Cedar Bog staging area. The preserve is managed by the Ohio Historical Society, and an admission fee is required. Visit the Cedar Bog Web site.

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Peter Stafford Wilson will present a program of orchestral music written by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy, Stravinsky and Bernstein.
