RICHELE SHEPARD '96, JEFF SMITH '96 AND KEVIN ROSE '03 will guide neighborhood tours during the Springfield Preservation Alliance Summer Walking Tour Series 2005 celebrating Springfield's architectural and historical heritage. The successful series will begin its second year on June 26, and features eight distinct neighborhoods, including Wittenberg's campus.
JAMES LAGOS '70, HORTON HOBBS IV '97, KEVIN ROSE '03 and LEE SWINEHART '07 shared thoughts on an innovative project in downtown Springfield, Ohio, in an article titled "New-Fangled Meets Old-Fashioned," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun on June 12. The article discussed the use of the historic State Theater as the venue for a variety of events including the Alpha Delta Pi sorority spring formal and an academic internship project.
KEVIN ROSE '03, president of the Springfield Preservation Alliance, was quoted in an article titled "Organization Honors DAR for Work with Restorations," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun on June 11. The alliance recently presented the Lagonda Chapter of the DAR for its maintenance of the historic Pennsylvania House in Springfield.
