• THE 20TH ANNUAL HONORS CONVOCATION will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 13, in Weaver Chapel. Students who have excelled as scholars and leaders during their college careers will be recognized at this event. A traditional academic procession with full-time and emeritus faculty, as well as academic administrators will begin at 3:55 p.m. Professor of Management Wayne Maurer will serve as Grand Marshal. • CELEBRATE SERVICE 2007, "Doing Good in the Neighborhood," will be held from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. on Alumni Way, and service will begin at 1 p.m. Food, beverages and entertainment will follow service. Sponsored by the Community Service Office, Build a Better Wittenberg and Youth as Resource. The event includes sites at Bridge House, Clark County Habitat for Humanity and Interfaith Hospitality Network. Click here for a registration form.

• SURVIVOR-WITTENBERG will be held Saturday-Sunday, April 14-15. Proceeds from the event, hosted by Ethan Zohn, the 2001 winner of CBS' long-running reality TV series Survivor, where Africa served as the site, will help feed, clothe, house and educate HIV-positive children and other children orphaned by AIDS in the Southern African Kingdom of Lesotho. • MUSIC AT WITTENBERG will present the Wittenberg Singers, Carol J. Todd, conductor, and the Wittenberg Handbell Choir, Margaret Dill, interim conductor, accompanied by Diane Slagle, piano, at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in Weaver Chapel. At 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, the Wittenberg Flute Choir, Lori Akins, director, will perform in Krieg Hall. Read more ...

• At 8 p.m. Saturday, April 14, a student recital featuring Steven Wolgast '08, piano, and Kaoru Hoshino '07, trumpet, with Diane Slagle, piano, Krieg Hall. At 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, a Senior Recital will feature Daniel Portice '07, baritone, with Diane Slagle, piano, Krieg Hall. The Memorial Concert with The Wittenberg Choir and Friends, Donald Busarow, conductor, will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in Weaver Chapel. All concerts are free and open to the public.

• IMANI Gospel Choir will present its Annual Gospel Fest at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 712 N. Fountain Ave. (across from Shouvlin). Following a brief Welcome/Praise and Worship, Capital University Gospel Choir, In His Image Mime Ministry, St. John's Missionary Baptist Praise Team, Jamal Vanderburg, oboe and saxophone, accompanied by pianist Quinn Ames and IMANI Gospel Choir will perform. Supper will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

• GREEK SCHOLARSHIP DESSERTS will be held from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the CDR. Panhellenic and IFC scholarship chairpersons will host the annual event to honor outstanding Greek students and houses. • YOM HASHOAH DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF THE HOLOCAUST will be observed during an interfaith chapel service of prayers and readings at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, in Weaver Chapel. In addition, The Nasty Girl will be shown at 7 p.m. in Bayley Auditorium, Barbara Deer Kuss Science Center. The film is based on the true story of Ann Elisabeth Rosmus, who wrote an essay titled "My Town during the Third Reich," and the violent lengths the local citizens went to in an attempt to stop her from exposing the truth (in German with English subtitles).

• THE DOCTOR IS IN Health Lecture Series continues with "America's Health Care Crisis: Why Americans Are Paying More and Getting Less" at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 105 Shouvlin Center. The lecture is free and open to the public. Read more ...

• THE ANNUAL SENIOR ART EXHIBIT will begin with a reception from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, Koch Hall. Take the opportunity to visit Koch Hall during regular building hours through Commencement to examine the works of Wittenberg's graduating art majors.

• RED ADIRONDACK CHAIRS recently appeared in several locations around campus and were quickly accepted as welcome additions to the landscape.
