KUDOS TO THE WITTENBERG COMMUNITY — printed with permission: "Thank you for a wonderful 'drop off day' experience. For starters there were very friendly and strong greeter-movers at my son's dorm, Ferncliff, making the move-in painless. We had time for a leisurely stroll around your beautiful campus before we were treated to a delicious lunch on the lawn. Following lunch we took our leave as our schedule didn't allow more time. I was sorry to miss the opening ceremony but did not have any qualms about leaving our student on his own as there were plenty of activities scheduled for him. Also everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming I felt that he would fit right in and be comfortable.
I'm looking forward to Family Weekend as an opportunity to spend some more time with my son on campus, in fact that's why I'm online now to check the date.
Thanks again for helping to make our separation easy. I was a little apprehensive about how we all might handle it, but I think that the design of New Student Days facilitated a comfortable departure for us."
Kim McDonald, mom of Matt, class of '10
