• THE WITTENBERG CHOIR HOME CONCERT, the final performance of the 2007 Spring Concert Tour, will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, March 16, Weaver Chapel. Under the direction of Donald A. Busarow, professor of music and university organist, the choir will sing more than 14 songs, including pieces to be sung in German, Russian, French and Latin. Read more ...

MUSIC AT WITTENBERG will present two events on Sunday, March 18. First is a joint concert by the Wittenberg University and Sinclair Community College Handbell Choirs, Margaret Dill, director, at 4 p.m., Weaver Chapel. A Faculty Artist Recital featuring Lawrence Pitzer, guitar, adjunct instructor of music, at 8 p.m., Krieg Hall. "Classical Period Guitar Music at Home" forms the repertoire for this recital, and Pitzer will be assisted by Leslie Arendt and Deb Toy.

• THE ANN MILLER GALLERY currently features an exhibit by Byzantine Iconographer Fr. Anthony Salzman that will run through Friday, April 6. The gallery is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

• MEMBERS OF THE STUDENT DANCE COMPANY will attend the American College Dance Festival in Athens, OH, hosted by Ohio University from Friday-Monday, March 16-19. The dancers will watch performances, take classes from various instructors in a wide array of styles, and perform on a stage other than Wittenberg's.

• THE WITTENBERG GARDEN CLUB will be held at noon Wednesday, March 21, Alumni Room, Benham-Pence Student Center. Erin Bartlett from the Ohio Historical Society will discuss the flora, fauna and happenings at Cedar Bog Nature Preserve. Take a brown bag lunch and learn about the nearby preserve. A $2 fee will be collected.

• THE WITTENBERG SERIES will present poet Rita Dove at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 22, Barbara Deer Kuss Science Center. The event is free and open to the public. Read more ...

• NIKKI ANDERSON '09 was pictured on the front page of the "Local & State" section of the Springfield News-Sun, March 10. The photo accompanied an article titled "Challenging Changes at Interfaith." The article discussed changes taking place at the Interfaith Hospitality Network, a Community Service Partner.

• A MUSIC WORKSHOP will be held for students grades 9-12 from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 21. Titled "Musical Theatre: The Basics and Beyond," the workshop is free, but please e-mail Dan Kazez, professor of music, to reserve a spot.
