• A RUSSIAN AREA STUDIES colloquium will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 131 Hollenbeck Hall. Vice President and Treasurer of the Kettering Foundation Ekaterina A. Lukyanova, and English language professor, St. Petersburg University, Brian T. Cobb will give a talk titled "People-to-People Diplomacy in U.S.-Russian Relations."

• THE SECOND ANNUAL HARTJE LECTURE will be held at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, April 12, Bayley Auditorium. Beatrix Hoffman, Robert Wood Johnson Scholar, associate professor of history, Northern Illinois University will give a talk titled "Do Americans Have a Right to Health Care?"

• THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT will hold its Senior Symposium and Literary Awards on Friday, April 20.

• AFRICANA STUDIES will present Norma Rosas Mayen, adjunct instructor for languages and the School of Community Education, at its Spring Semester Lecture titled "Afro-Hispanic Linguistic Remnants in Mexico: The Case of the Costa Chica Region of Oaxaca" at 4 p.m. Monday, April 23, Ness Family Auditorium.
