
THE SPRINGFIELD SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA MasterWorks III will present Dvorak's From the New World, featuring master violinist Jorja Fleezanis. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in the Clark State Performing Arts Center. Admission is charged. EYES WIDE OPEN CAMBODIA will be held at The Westcott House from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, March 31-Monday, April 30. The special exhibit includes 24 pieces of artwork - 12 from the first two local projects and 12 from the children of Cambodia. All artwork from Cambodia will be for sale via a silent auction. Tickets are $5 at the door.
THE WESTCOTT HOUSE FOUNDATION will host "Sustainable Landscapes: Past and Present" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, Bayley Auditorium, Barbara Deer Kuss Science Center. The lecture will feature Carol Yetken, a landscape architect from Oak Park, Ill., who will speak about sustainable landscapes and different approaches to landscaping over time. Yetken teaches at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was involved in the restoration of The Westcott House. The event is free to students, $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
