Douglas McConnell '76

• DOUGLAS MCCONNELL '76 presented a concert on campus Nov. 8. His recently composed "Piano Trio No. 1" was included in the performance. McConnell has been awarded Composer of the Year honors from both the Mississippi and Ohio Music Teachers Associations, and the Composition Prize from the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters for his chamber work, "Songs of the Beloved."

• DALE WRIGHT '76 discussed Careers in International Trade for Area Studies Students Government Careers for East Asian Studies Graduates on Nov. 10. Wright is Commercial Attache for the U.S. Department of Commerce, and spoke on behalf of the East Asian Studies Program and the Department of Languages.
