• JAMES HUFFMAN, H. Orth Hirt Professor of History, was awarded honorary alumnus status at this year's Alumni Awards Banquet. Given to those who have demonstrated a loyalty and devotion to Wittenberg that is exemplary to alumni and who have worked diligently to sustain it, the award is the latest of many that he has received in his 30-year career at Wittenberg.

• MARK DEVILBISS, director of student activities, is proud of daughter, Erin. The 7-year old has eight pieces of artwork on display at the Interface Creative Group, located on the second floor of the KeyBank Building, in downtown Springfield, The works were influenced during the year the family lived in her mother's homeland, Taiwan.

gradwohl• WENDY GRADWOHL, associate professor of management and department chair, will speak at the Springfield Human Resources Management Association lunch/meeting on Oct. 12. Gradwohl and Jessica Shirkey '07 will present "Interview Issues."


taylor• THOMAS T. TAYLOR, professor of history, presented "Stories of Weaver Chapel," during Celebrating 50 Years at the Crossroads at Homecoming 2006.

 

taylor• DONALD BUSAROW, professor of music, directed the Wittenberg Choir at the Festival of Hymns & History during Celebrating 50 Years at the Crossroads at Homecoming 2006.



• ROBERT WELKER, professor of education, made a presentation for the new Springfield high school on Oct. 9. The event was discussed in an article titled "High School Unveiling: Public to Get Look at Vision for School," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, Oct. 3.
