• THE SPRINGFIELD NEWS-SUN wants to increase the frequency of "Your Turn" columns, which give readers a chance to submit commentaries for the Opinion Page. They welcome submissions from Wittenberg faculty and staff. Columns could be on a writer’s area of academic specialty or on other subjects of general interest. "Your Turn" columns are edited to fit the newspaper’s style and for length (no more than 600 words). If a piece needs substantial editing, the writer will be given a chance to rewrite the article or to review the revisions to ensure the column’s meaning has not changed. If published, a column should be accompanied by a headshot of the writer and a one-sentence description of who the writer is. For information about "Your Turn" columns, call Steve Schlather at 328-0376, or e-mail him here .
