WEAVER CHAPEL AND THOMAS LIBRARY celebrate 50 years on Wittenberg's campus, and Weekday Chapel will include reflections and memories of these spaces throughout the course of the year. The mission of chapel is to provide a time of spiritual nourishment, primarily in the Christian faith, with a variety of reflections on faith, and life and learning. Reflections may take the form of a poem, a reading, personal writing or music. Share in the memories at 11:30 a.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in Weaver Chapel.

TWENTY-EIGHT WITTENBERG HABITAT FOR HUMANITY members will participate again this year in the Tool Shed Raffle from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Lowes Home Improvement and Wal-Mart on Bechtle Avenue. Two shifts of 14 students each will participate in the building project. All proceeds benefit Clark County Community Habitat for Humanity, and the raffle tickets are $3 each or two for $5.
CROP Walk will begin at 2 p.m. (registration at 1:30 p.m.) Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Benham-Pence Student Center. CROP walks are an extension
of Church World Service, which is a network of over 35 denominations
dedicated to providing relief and development across in the United States
and around the world. Each year, 25 percent of funds raised stay in
Springfield and are donated to Second Harvest Food Bank. Pastor Rachel Tune and Katie Proctor '06 are coordinators of this year's walk.

PAPER-FREE PAY ADVICE, the latest modernization of payroll, begins on campus soon. Student online access begins Sept. 15, biweekly hourly staff access will begin Oct. 6, and monthly faculty and staff will begin Oct. 25. The new feature will eliminate the need for printing and distributing paper statements, resulting in savings of both labor and natural resources. In addition, it will offer faculty, staff and student employees 24-hour access to their paycheck data from any computer with Internet service. Once activated, the university will no longer print or distribute a paper copy of the pay advice.
THE LITERACY STING will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the Courtyard by Marriott. Wittenberg will be represented by Paul Parlato, dean of community education, Artimus Keiffer, assistant professor of geography, and Ken Irwin, reference librarian and associate professor.
