KEN IRWIN, reference librarian and associate professor, KIM THOMPSON, visiting instructor of English, and the Wittenberg community were mentioned in a letter of appreciation titled "City Schools Libraries Enriched by Donations," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, Sept. 28. Written by a school library/media technician, the letter referred to the book drive on campus conceived by Thompson and facilitated by a Web site set up by Irwin that resulted in more than $3,300 pledged for books, which were in place in the libraries of each of the 16 Springfield City Schools for the start of the school year.
