
HOLLANDIA BOTANICAL GARDENS (HGB) holds its annual Spring Bulb Festival at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, and 11 a.m. Sunday, April 20. The site is along the bike path at Warder and Water Streets, and official parking is on the lot of the Kissell Center on Warder near N. Limestone Street. HBG will provide passenger trailer shuttle service to and from the garden site. For persons with mobility concerns, golf cart transportation will be provided from the entrance to the festival area and back.
THE SPRINGFIELD SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA will present "Overture to L'Italiana in Algeri," Symphony No. 4, op. 90 in A Major at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 3, Clark State Performing Arts Center. The orchestra will be joined by the Symphony Chorale. Admission charged.
THE SPRINGFIELD MUSEUM OF ART presents "Edna Boies Hopkins: Woodblock Prints: Strong in Character, Colorful in Expression," an exhibition of approximately 60 works of Hopkins, a printmaker in the early modernist time, through June 1. Admission is $5 for non-members.
