Throughout the night of April 5-6, Wittenberg students walked for the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life. Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship as well as raise money for cancer research and programs.
Nearly 30 teams participated, and more than $12,000 was raised. The top team fundraiser was the Delta Gamma team, and the top individual fundraiser was Christina Irwin '08.
Wittenberg’s Colleges Against Cancer organized the event. Committee members of the student organization include Brittany Helmerick '09 and Whitney Hull '09, co-presidents; seniors Brittney Dye, Christina Irwin and Ali Stalzer; junior Katy Levy; sophomores Jessica Brewer, John Derr and Emily Ellermann; and freshmen Drew Pille, Chelsea Remster and Jenna Rymer.
Karen Mahaney, the ACS staff partner, assisted the student organization with the event.
Celebrate. Fight Back. Remember.
