
JADE SPICER GIANAKOPOULOS '95, president of the Wittenberg Guild, recently presented David Long, acting vice president for advancement, a check for $40,000. The check represents a gift from the Guild to Wittenberg to provide scholarship aid to local students attending Wittenberg and to help subsidize the WISE Academic Camp. Guild members raised the money through two yearly fundraisers, the Wittenberg Guild Scholarship Style Show and the Wittenberg Guild Martha Rodgers Scholarship Fund.
MIKE NIGRO '88 co-directed a film titled American Cannibal: The Documentary, which was released in selected cities in March. The DVD of the film is scheduled for release the second week of September.
JOHN SLAUGHENHAUPT '93, ED LUNDGREN '93 AND DAVID FISHER '93 formed Three Witt Enterprises Inc., which operates Milano's Atlantic City Submarines near the University of Dayton. The pizza and sub restaurant opened a second location in Miami Township and has plans to open a third area restaurant in Beavercreek at North Fairfield and Kemp roads late this year or early next. KEVIN ROSE '03 will lead a Gish Sisters Walking Tour for the Springfield Preservation Alliance at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. Tickets are $8. Rose was interviewed for an article titled "Lillian Gish," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, Aug. 30. The article discussed the late Miss Gish, a Springfield native. The Lillian Gish Film Festival will take place in Springfield from Wednesday, Sept. 5, through Saturday, Sept. 8.
