
SHIRLEY DYER WUCHTER '68 was interviewed for an article titled "Through Books of Sermons, Wife Helps Husband's Ministry Live on," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, Dec. 10. The article discussed the steps leading to her publication of the sermons of her late husband, The Rev. Michael D. Wuchter '68. Two of the volumes, Uplifting Christ Through Autumn and Shining Through the Darkness: Sermons for the Winter Season, are available at the Wittenberg Bookstore and from CSS Publishing. A third volume Growing in Christ: Sermons for the Spring Season is being printed and summer collection will be published in 2009.

PAT O'CONNER '80 was elected President of Minor League Baseball on Dec. 5, making him the 11th president in the 106-year history of the organization, which was formed as the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues (NAPBL) in 1901. O'Conner has worked in professional baseball for 26 years and will begin his four-year term on Jan.
TOM WOLF '75 provided commentary for the Springfield Preservation "Alliance's History, Hymns and Holly" downtown walking tour. Wolf, public education manager for the Ohio Historical Society, provided notes about the architecture of the buildings that were included in an article titled "History, Hymns & Holly," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, Dec. 3.

KELLY EVANS-WILSON '94 was quoted in an article titled "Champaign County Now Has Web Site," which appeared in the Springfield News-Sun, Dec. 2. The article discussed the new Web site recently launched by the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau. Evans-Wilson is the executive director of the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce.
