• CHRISTOPHER DURRENBERGER, piano, associate professor of music, presents a Faculty Artist Recital at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, Krieg Hall. Durrenberger's performance will include Johannes Brahms’ "Piano Sonata No. 3 in F minor" and Modest Mussorgsky’s "Pictures at an Exhibition," a composition based on a memorial exhibition for Mussorgsky’s recently deceased friend Viktor Hartmann, with watercolors, stage designs and architectural drawings.

• TAMMY PROCTOR, associate professor of history, will speak at the Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus during an academic symposium marking 100 years of boy and girl scouting around the world and exploring in depth Scouting's impact on world youth and culture. The symposium takes place Friday-Saturday, Feb. 15-16. Read more ...

• BILL BROWN, men's basketball head coach, earned his 400th career victory on Feb. 9. Now in his 21st season as a head coach and his 15th directing his alma mater's men's basketball program, Brown's career record is now 400-180 in 21 seasons, including 15 at Wittenberg, five at Kenyon and one at Wooster. • TRUDY FABER, professor of music, was included in the "Pipings" section of February 2008 issue of The American Organist. The monthly publication, the official journal of the American Guild of Organists, comprises approximately 3,500 subscribers worldwide. The column discusses Faber's work during her 2007 spring semester sabbatical.
