
THE CLARK COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY lists several events in the coming days from self-guided tours of the museum, "National History Day" and "The Women of World War II" with Wittenberg Associate Professor of History Molly Wood, a Clark County Public Library Speaker Series event.
THE WESTCOTT HOUSE FOUNDATION continues its Centennial Lecture Series with Richard Cleary, associate professor, Page Southerland Page Fellow in Architecture, University of Texas at Austin, at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13, Barbara Deer Kuss Science Center. Cleary's presentation, “Frank Lloyd Wright and the Art of Building,” will examine some of Wright's innovative approaches to structural systems and construction techniques, and consider how his unconventional practice interacted with the consulting engineers, contractors and manufacturers who realized his dreams. THE SPRINGFIELD SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA presents "Rendezvous with Russia" with Olga Kern, piano, at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15, Kuss Auditorium, Clark State P.A.C. Admission charged.
OHIO PRAIRIES - PART III begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at the National Trails Parks and Recreation Department (NTPRD) Administration Building, 1301 Mitchell Blvd., Springfield. Don Rice from NTPRD will be the guest speaker. He will discuss Prairie Restoration efforts in Clark County and the Prairie Grass Trail. The program is free of charge, and no pre registration is required.
