• RON DELANGLADE, professor of biology, was the guest of honor at a tree-planting ceremony in celebration of his 41 years teaching in Wittenberg's classrooms. In addition to the tree, he received a sundial for his garden from members of the Wittenberg Garden Club. deLanglade has shared knowledge, time and plantings with club members for many years.

• MIGUEL MARTINEZ-SAENZ, associate professor of philosophy, assistant provost for First-Year Experience and director of WittSems, and Lora Lawson, associate professor of education, incorporated service-learning components into their second semester classes, making use of funds provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in 2005 as part of the groundbreaking program titled "Sowing Seeds of Servant Leadership: A Campus-Wide Integration of Service-Learning, Social Justice and Spirituality." • THOMAS T. TAYLOR, professor of history, begins a three year term as the director of the General Education Program. A past recipient of the ODK Teaching Excellence Award and Ohio Academy of History Outstanding Teaching Award, Taylor brings two decades of teaching and leadership in general education curriculum development at Wittenberg to the position.

• PACO LABRADOR, head volleyball coach, and SARAH JUREWICZ, women's head basketball coach, were named Men's Coach of the Year and Women's Coach of the Year at the third annual Tiger Awards banquet, organized and led by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Read more ...
