
OHIO LYRIC THEATRE presents the musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors at 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Sept. 21-22, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, Kuss Auditorium, Clark State Performing Arts Center. SPRINGFIELD CULTUREFEST 2007, Springfield's day-long ethics festival, celebrates its 11th anniversary from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. Wittenberg's Dragon Dance Team will perform.
CENTER CITY STUDIOS AND GALLERY hosts an open house from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, during the Springfield CultureFest 2007. Artists' studios have works on display, and a show by Bloomin Art, an organization within the Clark County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, is on exhibit in the gallery.
WESTCOTT'S NEIGHBORHOOD WALKING TOUR begins at 2 p.m. every Saturday from Sept. 8 - Oct. 13. The tour from The Westcott House Museum Store takes approximately 60 minutes, and tickets are $8.50 adults, $7 seniors (65+) and $6 students and groups. The tour along East High Street includes homes designed in Neoclassical Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne and Richardsonian Romanesque style.
THE SPRINGFIELD MUSEUM OF ART presents "Legacy: A Tradition Lives On," through Saturday, Oct. 27. The exhibit features more than 50 works of paintings, prints and sculptures by 15 artists using techniques and materials of the old masters. Sundays are Family and Friends Day, and admission to the exhibits are free. Open Sundays 12:30-4:30 p.m.
THE SPRINGFIELD ARTS COUNCIL presents Hairspray at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, Clark State Performing Arts Center. In 2003, the Broadway musical comedy won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Tickets are $30-$45 for adults and $22-$35 for students under 22.
THE SPRINGFIELD SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA opens the 2007-08 season with "Bravo Beethoven," an all Beethoven concert featuring violinist Stephanie Chase at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, Kuss Auditorium, Clark State Performing Arts Center. Admission charged.
THE CLARK COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY presents Virginia Weygandt '88, director of collections, Clark County Historical Society, who will give a talk titled "Preservation of Family Heirlooms" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, Crabil Discovery Hall of the Clark County Heritage Center.
