
PATHS CROSSING PATHS: Blues/Jazz/Rap Workshop will begin at 4:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, Krieg Hall. The workshop will present performers from African-American Cross Cultural Works’ Blues/Jazz Music Fest ’07 (Yellow Springs) and is sponsored by the music department, Africana studies, global studies, Honors Program, Multicultural Student Programs, American studies and the Office of the Provost.
• THE CHI OMEGA WING DINNER will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Chi Omega sorority house, 2 W. Ferncliff Place. Proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes of children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. THE ANN MILLER GALLERY has selections from the Ohio Craft Museum Ceramic Permanent Collection on exhibit through Monday, Sept. 24. An exhibit that features digital photography by Alan McEvoy, professor of sociology, will begin Monday, Sept. 10, in the Thompson Gallery, Koch Hall. Titled "Spaces Within Light: Digital Photographs by Alan McEvoy," the show will be open through Friday, Oct. 5. McEvoy will also give a lecture/gallery talk. Details of which are forthcoming.

WEEKDAY CHAPEL, 11:30 A.M. TUESDAY, SEPT. 11, will remember those who died six years ago in the terrorist attack on the United States. A Taizé prayer service for peace and healing will be used. This kind of prayer service uses the simple, repetitive a capella chants of the Taizé monastic community in France, alternating with silent and spoken prayer. Throughout the year, but particularly in the summer, thousands of young adults from across the world come together in Taizé to worship, pray and converse. The chants are repeated in such a way that all can join in as they become familiar with them.
