• AWARD-WINNING VIOLINIST HILARY HAHN, left, held an informal session with the campus community, March 2, prior to the Witt Series event March 3. Hahn's recital was presented in memory of her grandparents, S. Wilfred and Martha Anne Strowd Hahn. The event was sponsored by Margaret and Lanty Smith '64.

• WUSO 89.1-FM, Wittenberg's student-run campus radio station, recently began a simulcast of Dayton classical music radio station WDPR 88.1-RM from 6-10 a.m. Monday through Friday. Read more ...

• THE 2009 SPRING CHOIR TOUR began Thursday, March 5, at First United Methodist Church in Vincennes, Ind. This year's tour includes performances in five Midwestern states and includes locations where Professor of Music and Director of the Wittenberg Choir Donald Busarow spent his childhood and early concert career. • SPRING BREAK begins at 5 p.m. Friday, March 6, and residence halls close at noon Saturday, March 7. Residence halls reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 15, and classes resume Monday, March 16. March 9-13. All administrative offices remain open.

• TIGER BASEBALL Head Coach Jay Lewis introduces new members of his coaching staff, former major leaguer Rick White and Craig Isaac '94, as the team prepares to head to Winter Haven, Fla., to begin this year's campaign with nine varsity games in six days, starting on Sunday, March 8, against the College of Mount St. Joseph. • BEGINNERS YOGA AT WITTENBERG begins at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, second floor Recitation Hall. The four-week session will continue through April 1. Monica Hasek from Yoga Springs Studio will teach the hour and a half sessions. The cost is $40 per person total, and Wittenberg will contribute $20 per person. • THE ANN MILLER GALLERY features "Soffiari," an exhibit of works by Columbus glass artist, Michael Rozell, through Friday, April 3. The gallery, located in Koch Hall, is free and open to the public from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Read more ...

• LAMBDA PI ETA, Wittenberg's department of communication honor society, received a $500 Adviser Grant Program Award from the Association of College Honor Societies. Lambda Pi Eta will team up with Mortar Board to clean up Springfield's Snyder Park. The project is consistent with the goal of the ACHS grant program, which encourages cross-campus collaboration and new initiatives among student organizations related to social responsibility. • WITTENBERG'S MOCK TRIAL TEAM has advanced to a national tournament. Congratulations to Kraig Reiber '09, Cody Grindle '09, Ronnie Ross '09, Courtney Webb '11, Michelle Graham '11, Pat Deering '10, John Papic '09 and Greg Yeager '09. The Wittenberg Mock Trial team was the only non-Division I team to make nationals, the only team without a full-time paid coach (or that doesn't take Mock Trial as a class) to make nationals and the only team to give Cincinnati (who finished in second place) a loss.

• THE SECOND ANNUAL PAM EVANS SMITH 5K MEMORIAL WALK/RUN begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28. All proceeds from the event will go to the Pam Evans Smith '82 Memorial Scholarship Fund. Read more ...

• STATEWIDE MATH COMPETITIONS were held on campus, Feb. 14. The annual competition includes students from Wittenberg, Ohio Wesleyan University, Denison University and Kenyon College to work as three-person teams to solve 10 math problems in two hours. Read more ...

SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS by Carlo Goldoni, left, held its final performance, March 1. The next theatre production is a Studio Stage Production of This Is Our Youth, a play by Kenneth Lonergan, directed by senior theatre major David Kabbes at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 20-21, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, Blair Hall Theatre.
