
• MARTHA WITTHOFT KOPRA '51 traveled to Florida to watch the shuttle Discovery STS-128 land on Sept. 10 before flying to Houston to be at Ellington Air Force Base to watch the crew land as her son, Astronaut Col. Tim Kopra, returned from the International Space Station. Kopra and six crew members blasted off from Cape Canaveral, Fla., on July 15, 2009. Kopra and her family were at NASA Mission Control Center at the Kennedy Space Center in Houston to watch Tim's space walk on day four of his mission.
