Work Life Balance

The work-life balance program is designed to assist faculty and staff with solutions for everyday challenges of work and home as well as for more serious issues involving emotional and physical well-being.

With work-life balance, you have direct, free and around-the-clock access to a team of master's-level consultants for advice, expertise and resources.

Toll-free telephone consultations - Speak candidly and confidentially with an expert consultant to help clarify your concerns, sort through your options and get recommendations for appropriate resources.

1-800-854-1446, English

1-877-858-2147, Spanish

1-800-999-3004, TTY/TDD

Face-to-face consultations - When appropriate, telephone consultants can arrange up to three in-person sessions with a local counselor for each issue you may have for short-term problem resolution.  These counselor visits would be free of charge to you.

Online resources - You have web access to hundreds of issue-specific resource rooms, a team of consultants and several interactive tools; plus the ability to view, download and print more than 500 articles, quick tips, worksheets, reading lists and e-books.  View and listen to video and audio tips on helpful topics from consultants.

The work-life balance employee assistance program services are provided by Ceridian Corporation and are available through UNUM, our long-term disability provider.  You can access their website at www.lifebalance.net.  A common User ID and password has been assigned to Wittenberg faculty and staff.  lifebalance serves as both the ID and the password
