
Wittenberg University invites applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Admission Counselor/Assistant Director of Admission and Coordinator of Multicultural Recruitment (rank dependent upon experience). This position will develop and implement a comprehensive outreach and recruitment plan for students from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Responsibilities include representing the university to prospective students and their families, high school counselors, teachers, alumni, and other constituencies. Travel to high schools and college fairs, conduct area visits, provide financial aid counseling, interview prospective students, evaluate applicants and assist in the selection of candidates for admission. Communicate effectively with students in writing, on the telephone, and in person. Actively participate in on-campus recruiting events. Work individually and as a team member to achieve University enrollment and net revenue goals.
The successful candidates will be self-starting, possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills and have knowledge of and an enthusiasm for a Lutheran liberal arts and sciences education. The ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely are critical skills required of these positions. A bachelor's degree & valid drivers license required and related experience in an educational setting is preferred. Involves extensive travel and some evening and weekend work.
