O. University Services /Activities
1. Weaver Chapel
Weaver Chapel offers morning worship for the campus community from 11:20 to 11:50 a.m. every
Tuesday and Thursday. No classes or meetings are held during these half-hour periods. With your
supervisor’s permission, you are welcome to participate in this time of community worship. Other
regular opportunities for worship in Weaver Chapel are Sunday
mornings at 11 a.m., Sunday evenings in Ness at 6:30 p.m., and Catholic Mass at 9 p.m. in Weaver Chapel. For further information, please contact the university pastors.
2. Athletic Events
You may attend designated athletic events free of charge. To do so, you must present your university ID card. Some events require obtaining tickets prior to the event.
3. Cultural Events
Cultural events such as convocation programs, Wittenberg Series programs, and performances are open to all university staff members and their families. Announcements of forthcoming programs are
published regularly in the university calendar and Wittenberg Magazine and are also posted on campus
bulletin boards. The Benham-Pence Student Center scheduling office maintains a calendar of university
events.
4. Library Privileges
You are welcome to use the services of the university’s Thomas Library. Please present your university
ID card.
5. Wittenberg University Federal Credit Union
The Credit Union is an independent service organization. It makes loans available to members at a
competitive rate of interest, which may be repaid by payroll deduction or on a time payment plan. The
Credit Union also provides savings and checking plans among other services. Please contact the Credit
Union for detailed information.
6. Faculty Dining Room
This facility is on the second floor of the Student Center and is open to all university faculty and staff.
7. Advising Meetings with the Human Resources Department
If you have questions or concerns about your employment, or if you wish to talk about prospective
positions, you are encouraged to schedule an advising meeting with an administrator in the Human
Resources department.
8. Campus Directory
A directory of university employees and students, including home address and telephone number, is
published in the fall of each year. The directory is distributed through campus mail and can be accessed via the university Web page. Should you wish information to be omitted from the directory, in full or in part, please make a written request to Human Resources. The university directory is intended only for the use of its staff and students, and its unauthorized use or distribution is prohibited.
