G. The University Firearms Policy
The possession or use of firearms, dangerous weapons, or other materials that endanger the campus
community is strictly prohibited. This prohibition applies to all University employees, students, vendors,
customers and guests including those who are licensed under Ohio law to carry a concealed weapon.
The prohibition includes weapons carried about the person and maintenance or storage of any weapon in any property owned, leased, or controlled by Wittenberg or within any parked vehicle on University
premises. The discovery of weapons on University premises in violation of this policy could result in
criminal prosecution.
Weapons used for demonstration and educational purposes are to be stored at the Wittenberg Police
Department until time of class or demonstration. All such weapons are to be carried in cases in
accordance with Ohio law.
