K. Workplace Violence

Wittenberg is dedicated to a work environment that is safe and healthy, and we can best achieve this by early intervention into internal conflicts, disputes, and misunderstandings. The University expressly
prohibits any acts or threats of violence by any employee while engaged in University business or on
University property. Any employee who is subjected to, witnesses, or has knowledge of violent
behavior or has reason to believe that violent behavior may occur at or concerning the activities of
Wittenberg University, has a duty to report it promptly to the Associate vice president for human
resources or the Director of Police & Security. The University will not tolerate acts or threatened acts of violence. Employees can raise concerns and make reports without fear of reprisals, and the University will treat their concerns as confidential to the extent that circumstances allow.
