C. Computer Hardware and Software Security

The equipment in your office, including computer hardware and software, is the property of Wittenberg
University. You may not copy university purchased or leased software. You are responsible for taking
all required precautions against importation of computer viruses.

From time to time, especially when you are away from your desk, your supervisor or another employee may need to access your computer or files. You should not expect information left on your computer, on your desk, or in your files to be unconditionally private.

Also, the Computing Center’s Technology Policy, which can be accessed by linking to
http://www4.wittenberg.edu/administration/cctr/information/policy.html, is specifically incorporated as
a part of this manual.
