Welcome to the Springfield Peace Center,
a small non-profit organization located on the campus of Wittenberg University. We are dedicated to educating for peace and teaching alternatives to violence by offering a free one-week conflict management Peace Camp every year in June and presenting conflict solving classes in the schools during the year.

Peace Camp 2009 will be June 22nd-26th at Lagonda Elementary School in Springfield. Applications are now available at public library locations and online from this website.

13th Annual Mediation Training


Attention all 7th - 12th graders: The Springfield Peace Center will be having its 13th annual mediation training workshop June 17th and 18th at 105 Shouvlin - Wittenberg University. Training will begin at 9AM and last until 3:30PM.

Mayor Warren Copeland Voted "Sweetest of Springfield"


The recent sweetness of peace fundraiser at wittenberg university was successful. Thank you to the celebrity presenters: Mayor Warren Copeland, County Commisioner John Detrick, City Commissioner Karen Duncan, County Sherrif Gene Kelly, and City Commisioner Orphus Taylor who all vied for the title "Sweetest of Springfield". Thanks also to the wonderful caterers who volunteered deserts for the event: Amy Bard Catering, Cake Creations, Collier's Family Restaurant, Current Cuisine, Mela's Urban Bistro, Piersons, Simply Delicious and Sodexo. Thank you to the Springfield Dulcimer Club for providing musical entertainment.
