Welcome to the Springfield Peace Center,
a small non-profit organization located on the campus of Wittenberg University. We are dedicated to educating for peace and teaching alternatives to violence by offering a free one-week conflict management Peace Camp every year in June and presenting conflict solving classes in the schools during the year.

A Great Valentine Date...

Sunday, February 14th from 2:00 to 4:00PM you can enjoy delicious desserts furnished by some of the area's finest caterers. The fifth annual Sweetness of Peace fundraiser will take place in 105 Shouvlin Center on the Wittenberg University Campus. A $10 tax-deductible ticket will enable you to sample ten desserts, enjoy music provided the Springfield Dulcimer Group and vote for Sweetest of Springfield. Vying for this "coveted" title are City Comm. Joyce Chilton, last year's winner Mayor Warren Copeland, City Comm. Karen Duncan, County Comm. John Detrick and Sherriff Gene Kelly. Some of the caterers donating desserts include Amy Bard Catering, Cake Creations, Collier's Family Restaurant, Current Cuisine, Méla Urban Bistro, Piersons, Simply Delicious, Sodexho and The Candy Shop. All proceeds from this event will go to support the Springfield Peace Camp in June 2010. Tickets will be available at the door, from any Springfield Peace Center Board Member, or by calling 937-327-3977.
