SHERIFF GENE KELLY CHOSEN “SWEETEST OF SPRINGFIELD” AT ANNUAL FUNDRAISER Sheriff Gene Kelly received the most votes to earn the title “Sweetest of Springfield” at our third annual SWEETNESS OF PEACE event held in February at the Shouvlin Center at Wittenberg. All of the proceeds go toward “adopting” children for Camp. The goal of the Springfield Peace Center is to keep the Peace Camp free so all can attend. Thanks also to County Commissioner John Detrick (last year’s winner), City Commissioner Karen Duncan, Mayor Warren Copeland and Rocking Horse Medical Director Dr. James Duffee for donating their time. Thanks so much for the beautiful and tasty desserts from All About You Caterering, Amy Bard, Cake Creations, Colliers, Current Cuisine, Just Desserts, Piersons and Simply Delicious Caterers. Also, the music by the Springfield Dulcimer Group was great. We appreciate the Wittenberg students who helped serve the desserts. Older News |
