Academics

In addition to academic advising, Wittenberg devotes an entire office to counsel students in career guidance. This office also assists students with employment placement after graduation. The Career Center uses an extensive database to provide students with an extensive network of contacts in all career areas.

Career Placement
The Career Center provides a wide range of "high touch, high tech" career services. Students have the advantage of a career center that is both sophisticated in its use of technology, but small enough to offer personalized career consulting and networking support. The Center is the central point at which our technologies and human resources are connected to provide career, internship, job-search and graduate school information to our students.

The Tiger Career Network is a database of alumni, friends of Wittenberg, and parents of Wittenberg students who look forward to student inquiries about their career fields. Alumni return to campus to speak at Alumni Career Day and in departmental seminars and colloquia. In addition to the Tiger Career Network, the Center has access to monsterTRAK, a national database of job postings.

Graduate and Professional School Placement
Wittenberg graduates rank in the top 10 nationally for their enrollment into postgraduate programs. Seventy percent of alumni have advanced degrees. Alumni surveys show that of this 70 percent, 25 percent of students begin graduate or professional programs immediately after graduation. The Career Center and Academic Services host many programs to help juniors and seniors prepare for postgraduate studies.
