Geology
Because of the diversity of career opportunities and student interest, as a geological major you may choose from two tracks: a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). The B.S. is for students who are interested in a career as a geologist. The B.A. is for students who wish to combine geology study with expertise in another discipline. For those students who want to teach at the secondary level, another track is offered in earth science. Wittenberg's geology program blends classroom instruction, computer and instrumental analysis and partial application through field study and independent research projects. We designed the curriculum to be flexible in addressing your needs and interests in any of the subdisciplines of geology, environmental science or earth science certification, or in combining geology with another academic major.
