Academics
Women's Studies

This minor has proven very popular with Wittenberg students since its implementation in 1991. Its interdisciplinary approach to the history, viewpoints, experiences, achievements and struggles of women will help you define your thinking within your major, prepare you for a number of career goals (such as family law, social work, and management), and develop your own self-awareness. The senior "mini-portfolio" is an excellent opportunity for you to reflect on and tie together the diverse courses you have chosen. Students always learn about themselves in the process.

Requirements
Minor: Women's Studies 100 plus 16 semester hours in at least three different disciplines. Three of the courses may count for both the Women's Studies minor and the student's major. In the spring semester of the senior year, each student will present a portfolio of his or her work in women's studies to a faculty committee.

Facilities
Student Services operates a Women's Center in the Dietrich House. The Center offers a wide variety of information from various sources on women's issues, houses a small library of donated books on Women's studies, and serves as a meeting place for women on campus.
