For optimal scholarship consideration, students should apply before March 15. Students who wish to submit an application after March 15 may do so and will be notified of acceptance on a rolling basis. Financial Aid will be available for students applying after March 15.
Do not leave any item blank; simply insert "N/A" if a particular item does not apply. If you are applying under the Early Decision Plan, be aware that an acceptance is binding. You will be required to submit a $400 enrollment deposit and withdraw applications to other universities. The Early Action and Regular Action Plans are not binding, and an applicant may defer his or her deposit until May 1 of their senior year.
To move from field to field, simply use the Tab key or point and click with your mouse (if you have a graphical Web browser. For text browsers, the arrow keys should work).
When completed, press the Submit button and your application will be sent to the Office of Admission at Wittenberg. If you do not press the Submit button your application will not be processed. You can log back in at any time to complete your application by using your social security number.
When completed, make certain you have signed the Electronic Signature Box and then press the Submit button and your application will be promptly reviewed by the admission committee at Wittenberg University. *If you do not sign and press the Submit button your application will not be processed. You can log back in at any time to finish your application by following these steps:
Please click on the following url: http://www4.wittenberg.edu/administration/prospect/apply/
Locate the REGULAR APPLICATION section and click on the EXISTING APPLICATION url.
Complete the information requested (name, birthdate and ssn) and then click Continue Application. If you get the original application, please continue. If you do not pull up the partially completed application at this time, please contact us. Your name, birthdate or ssn may have been entered incorrecly initially. We can verify this with you and make any necessary changes so that you can gain access to the application.
You will notice that at the bottom of each page you will find:
Next Save & Complete Later 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
These boxes will help you navigate through the pages. The Next button will take you to the next page. The Save & Complete Later button will allow you to save what you have entered and leave the application. You will return to the page you were on when you exited the application. The 1-7 buttons allow you to go from page 2 to page 7 and then back to page 3 (as an example).
When you move from page to page, you will receive a message:
"This page contains both secure and non-secure items. Do you want to display non-secure items?"
Answer yes to this. Unfortunately, you may get this message a couple of times between each page. Simply answer yes each time it pops up. This will also speed up the process of changing pages.
It is wise to save your information regularly, especially when working on an essay portion that you may want to spend a little time thinking about. Every 20 minutes or so is probably advisable.
Once you have completed your application (page 7), you will be given the options of:
REVIEW- This allows you to review the full application before submitting
SUBMIT- Submits your application to Wittenberg - you will no longer be able to access it.
SAVE AND COMPLETE LATER- leaves the application and allows you to come back later.
Before you submit, make sure you have completed the Electronic Signature.
Once you have submitted the application, you should receive an email saying that your submitted application has been received.
Another handy tool is the PRINT- Printer Friendly button. You will find this in the upper right hand corner of each page.
We look forward to receiving your application!
Wittenberg University accepts the Common Application in lieu of its own form and gives equal consideration to both. Students may obtain copies of the Common Application from their high school guidance counselors or online at www.commonapp.org.
