How Can I Get Involved?
redline

There are three ways to get invoved with the Office of Admission. You can join the College Fair Team, High School Visit Team or become a Wittenberg Educator.

College Fair Team

By volunteering to attend a college fair, you help Wittenberg’s recruitment efforts immensely.  College fairs attract many students not only from the city where the fair takes place, but from the surrounding area.  By attending college fairs in locations where it is more difficult for an admission counselor to travel, you are helping to spread Wittenberg’s name across the country.  But please know that we welcome you to attend college fairs with us.  Feel free to volunteer for as many of the following fairs as you like!

Before arriving at a fair, it is important that you first go through the college fair training guide on this website.  Please take a few moments to review these two powerpoint presentations:

Below is the list of College Fairs for Spring 2008. Keep in mind that you may volunteer to attend a fair with an admission counselor. Those that need coverage are indicated by a "No" in the "Counselor Attending" column, and those that we are particularly interested in having someone attend are highlighted in red.

High School Visit Team

The responsibility of this type of Admission Ambassador is a unique one.  As admission counselors travel the country, they seek meetings with high school guidance counselors.  By joining the High School Visit Team, you will take on this same responsibility.  If you have a connection (a friend employed at a school, a child attending a school, etc.) with a school in your area, or even if you don’t, you may schedule an appointment to visit that school’s guidance office and drop off some material about Wittenberg.  There may be interested students who’d like to hear about your college experience, or you may develop a relationship with the guidance counselor.  Either way, you are providing Wittenberg valuable exposure to many different groups of people nationwide.

Before visiting a high school, it is important that you are prepared to answer some basic questions about your alma mater.  Some things may have changed since you graduated, so please take a few moments to review the following powerpoint:

Wittenberg Educators

You may have seen this program advertised in the July Wittenberg Magazine.  As an employee in a school, you have the unique opportunity to integrate Wittenberg into your students’ everyday lives.  By doing this, you help Wittenberg gain access to more groups of bright students in more places around the country.  Not to mention, you get to share memories about your time at Witt!

In order to be an effective representative of Witt, it is important that you are prepared to answer some basic questions about your alma mater.  Some things may have changed since you graduated, so please take a few moments to review the following powerpoint:
