Adding a Class

Adds are permitted only during the first week of the semester only

Dropping a Class

Drops without penalty are permitted through the fifth week of the semester

Drops with a record of “W” appearing on the transcript are permitted through the 10th week of the semester. All drops/withdraws from courses after this date appear on the student transcript with a grade of “F” (except for freshman forgiveness described below)

Freshman Forgiveness

First time, first-year students (no transfers) in the first semester (only) of their enrollment may withdraw late from one course and receive the mark of “W” for that course, through the last official day of classes (not the last day of exams but the last official day of classes). The petition for late withdraw must be signed by the instructor of the course and the students faculty advisor. Students must submit the withdraw slip complete with signatures to the office of the registrar, not later than the official last day of classes.
