As Wittenberg University Provost, Dr. Kenneth W. Bladh serves
as chief academic officer and as second ranking administrator
after the President. He is responsible for the planning, organization, administration and evaluation of Wittenberg's total educational program.
A member of the President's Senior Staff, Dr. Bladh is the chief advocate for faculty and, as such, determines faculty and administrative salaries and recommends appointments, promotions and tenure of instructional personnel. He is also responsible for all budget recommendations that support academic programs. In addition, the Provost oversees the Athletics Department, Computing Services, Thomas Library, the Career Center and Registrar's Office, as well as the university's Upward Bound Program and the Wittenberg Series. He is aided in his endeavors by Miguel Martinez-Saenz, Assistant Provost for the First Year Experience, and Jeff Ankrom, Assistant Provost for Institutional Research and Planning and Vancenia Rutherford, Assistant Provost for Academic Services.
