Adult Classification
Geared to the adult learner, Wittenberg’s School of Community Education is your gateway to a wide variety of B.A. and B.S. degrees, teacher licensure studies and various certificates.
All undergraduate credit studies for adults are organized under the PROFESSIONAL STUDIES PROGRAM, where you can pursue studies to fulfill your personal and career goals. The program has been designed with the working professional in mind, with schedules featuring day, evening and weekend classes.
As an adult student, you will have access to the university’s many resources and support services, not to mention free parking. You will also enjoy the amenities of the beautiful Wittenberg University campus, where historical buildings and state-of-the-art facilities come to life with high-quality education to create a dynamic learning environment.
PROFESSIONAL STUDIES PROGRAM opens the door to a rewarding future for adults motivated to learn and grow. We’ve designed the program with your needs and busy lifestyle in mind.
Just a few requirements make you eligible for the PROFESSIONAL STUDIES PROGRAM:
Exceptions: Individuals who do not meet the first two guidelines, but whose circumstances are not typical of the “traditional student,” may appeal to the Dean of the School of Community Education. These circumstances include full-time employment and parenthood.

Lifelong Learning for Seniors -- Lifelong Learning is part of the mission of SCE. We value the liberal arts education and realize the lifetime benefits. We offer special rates for those 60 and over to continue their learning and enrich their lives.
Lifelong Learners may study as matriculants or non-matriculants, and come under the same policies as other SCE students. They may enroll in up to 17 credits per semester—credit or audit, Evening or Day—at a nominal flat charge of $160 per semester. Course enrollment is on a space available basis.
NOTE: the Lifelong Learning benefit applies to “regular” credit bearing courses only. It does not extend to such special forms as Applied Music, independent study, or Summer field studies. For non-credit-bearing courses or CMD music lessons, LLL’s pay the published fees.
